Odessa National Maritime University and the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) have signed a memorandum laying the foundation for protecting infrastructure from hybrid threats.

The State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies andInformation Protection and the Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University Science ParkLLC signed a memorandum of cooperation.The memorandum lays the foundation for the development of scientific,scientific-technical, and educational activities, the introduction of unified standards forpersonnel training in the field of cybersecurity, and the adjustment of academic programs to the real challenges of the security sector.

The management of the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) held a working meeting with representatives from the Polish Academy of Sciences. During the visit to Warsaw, the parties laid the foundation for cooperation, which includes joint research in the field of cyber defense and countering technical intelligence.

Ensuring the cyber resilience of companies that create such solutions is one of the key priorities of national security. This is why, on January 6, a representative of the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) attended an interagency meeting organized by the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine.

The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted a Capture the Flag (CTF) cyber competition for teams, bringing together eight groups of cadets specialising in relevant fields. Organised by State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) and Cyber Defense Department at SSSCIP, the event was not just an internal test of strength, but also a key stage in preparation for the prestigious international Transatlantic Trio Cyber Defense eXercise training.

On December 24, the President of Ukraine ceremonially presented the Borys Paton National Prize to the Chief Researcher of the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP).

As part of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSSCIP) delegation, a senior researcher from the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) participated in the first online consultation with the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats (Hybrid CoE).

On December 5, State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP), together with leading government and scientific institutions, held an All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference. The event was devoted to discussing current issues of conducting scientific, technical, and forensic expertise in the field of fighting criminal offenses in wartime. The conference, held at the Kyiv branch of the National Scientific Center “Ноn. Prof. М.S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute”, brought together scientists, forensic experts, teachers, officers, law enforcement officials, and security forces of Ukraine. Participants discussed the specifics of examining methods and means of committing crimes during wartime and exchanged practical experience and best practices.

The chief research scientist of the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) has been awarded the 2025 Boris Paton National Prize of Ukraine. The state award was granted in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 861/2025 in recognition of his work “Assessment and Optimisation of Security Risks for Critical Infrastructure”.
