The latest meeting of the member countries of the Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA), held in Rome, Italy, in late September, focused on IT product security, international evaluation criteria, and European certification approaches.

The State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) organised the first specialized conference on cryptographic information security, UkrCrypto2026, in collaboration with the Information Security Department of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSSCIP). The event attracted over 80 participants, including prominent cryptographers from Ukraine and beyond, as well as scientists, researchers, and information security experts.

On 15 September, a delegation from the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) visited the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy in Varna, Bulgaria.During the meeting, Volodymyr Pavlikov, the head of ICTIP, and Flotilla Admiral Kalin Kalinov, the head of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, discussed current approaches to training specialists, the development of educational programmes, and opportunities for further scientific and educational cooperation. Based on the results of the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Institutions was signed.

Specialists from the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) took part in the 16th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies, held in Zlín, Czech Republic.

Researchers from the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection participated in the 8th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Advanced Trends in Information Security”, held from 26 to 28 August at the State University of Intelligent Technologies and Telecommunications.

The UkrCrypto2026 International Conference has been canceled due to the security situation and the resulting ban on mass gatherings.Participants will be notified personally of any further decisions regarding the event, including its date, time, and format, as soon as they are made.

A specialist from the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) completed technical training organised by Videray Technologies in Boston. This American manufacturer develops innovative equipment for non-destructive visual inspection. This equipment is designed for the rapid screening of vehicles and cargo to detect hidden compartments and contraband. It can also be used to inspect critical infrastructure and identify hidden threats during mass gatherings.

The State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection invites scientists, researchers, and specialists from the public and private sectors to participate in the conference, to be held from 23 to 25 September 2026.

On May 26, 2026, a representative of the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) participated in the webinar "Recognition of Professional Qualifications in the EU–Ukraine Context: Cybersecurity Cases," dedicated to the recognition of professional qualifications in the field of cybersecurity in the EU and Ukraine.

In April, a specialist from the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP), as part of a joint team from Ukraine, Romania, and the Republic of Moldova, participated in the international cyber exercises Locked Shields 2026, organized under the auspices of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE).
