Representatives from the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) attended a specialized training course focused on protecting state institutions against information manipulation and AI-driven cyber threats.

About the Institute

State Research Institute of Cyber Security and Information Protection Technologies (State Research Institute of Cyber Security Technologies) is a leading research institution in the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (State Special Communications and Information Protection Service), based on the state form of ownership, included in the structure of State Special Communications, subordinated and controlled by the State Special Communications Administration.

State Research Institute of Cyber Security Technologies:
  • is a budget institution and does not aim to make a profit;
  • carries out research, development, production and implementation of means of cryptographic and technical protection of information, telecommunication equipment for special information and telecommunication systems;
  • accompanies the creation of means of cryptographic protection of information and means of special communication in terms of ensuring cryptographic, engineering and cryptographic, special requirements;
  • is a production-oriented sectoral scientific institution, the scientific and technical result of which is intended for direct implementation in production and/or practical use in special information and telecommunication systems and objects of information activity;
  • conducts certification tests of means of cryptographic and technical protection of information, scientific examinations of projects in the field of information protection, scientific and technical examinations in the field of cryptographic and technical protection of information;
  • carries out other activities that do not contradict the terms of accreditation of the testing laboratory of the State Research Institute of Cyber Security Technologies and the terms of licensing in the field of cryptographic and technical information protection.

The State Research Institute of Cyber Security Technologies passed the state certification of scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
In the second half of 2020, the State Research Institute of Cyber Security Technologies and Information Protection of the State Special Communications Service underwent state certification of scientific institutions. According to its results, the State Research Institute of Cyber Security Technologies established a classification rating for scientific potential and achievements over the previous three years – 3.26; and the rating of the expert group is 3.85. On this basis, the State Research and Development Institute of Cyber Security Technologies was assigned to the II classification group for a period of 3 years.
