International technical assistance for the State Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies within the framework of the USAID partnership program «Cybersecurity for Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure»
The issue of developing the architecture of the national cybersecurity system and protecting objects of critical infrastructure is a relevant and important task that requires immediate practical, organizational and legal actions from all branches of executive power and society as a whole.
The main functional direction of CSIRT activity is to ensure countermeasures against cyber threats in automated systems and information and communication systems of the State Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and energy sector enterprises. To accomplish this task, it is necessary to continuously expand and improve the architecture of the national cybersecurity system. An important stage of this process is the creation of a regional cybersecurity center.
The mentioned project is implemented based on the tasks assigned to the specialists of the State Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and the working group responsible for the activities of the regional cybersecurity center (CSIRT), with the aim of realizing Ukraine's
Euro-Atlantic course, as enshrined in the Constitution.
Experts of the Institute, together with representatives of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), have developed issues related to technical assistance for the creation of a regional cybersecurity center (CSIRT). As part of the USAID partnership program "Cybersecurity for Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure," provided technical equipment includes computer hardware, software, and network equipment with a total value of 4,159,285.07 UAH.
