The State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) organised the first specialized conference on cryptographic information security, UkrCrypto2026, in collaboration with the Information Security Department of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSSCIP). The event attracted over 80 participants, including prominent cryptographers from Ukraine and beyond, as well as scientists, researchers, and information security experts.

The professional discussion focused on modern cryptographic algorithms and protocols, post-quantum cryptography, zero-knowledge proof protocols, blockchain technologies, steganography, and the application of cryptography in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence systems, intelligent systems, and critical infrastructure protection.

“The key challenges currently facing cryptographers are the significant increase in computing power and quantum computing. Ukraine has taken a major step towards understanding the challenges of the post-quantum era and developing its own national standards,” emphasised Oleksandr Potii, Head of the SSSCIP, during the conference's opening ceremony.

Researchers from the Institute presented their studies and practical solutions, participated in expert discussions and exchanged experiences with representatives of the Ukrainian and international cryptographic communities. Such collaboration facilitates launching joint research projects and introducing promising innovations to the international professional community.
