In April, a meeting of the governing bodies of the Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA) was held in Tokyo, Japan. Specialists from the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) took part in the work of the Development Council and the Executive Subcommittee.

The event was hosted by the Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA, Japan), which is aimed at developing a secure and reliable IT environment, supporting digital initiatives, strengthening information security, and training specialists.

The Ukrainian side was represented by the heads of the Product Certification Body and the ICTIP's testing laboratory, who are involved in developing the national certification framework for IT products. Since Ukraine joined the CCRA, the Institute has participated in its events for the second time.

During the meetings, participants discussed the organization's performance over the past six months, updates to work documents, collaboration with the international IT community, ISO bodies, and the European Cybersecurity Certification Scheme on Common Criteria (EUCC). Plans and upcoming meetings were also discussed.

Participation in the CCRA governing bodies is one of the conditions for Ukraine’s transition from being a certificate consumer to a full-fledged member. This status will open up opportunities for international recognition of certificates issued by the national certification authority, help Ukrainian IT products access foreign markets, and facilitate the application of proven IT solutions in the field of information security.
