A specialist from the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “National Resilience as a Key Element of National Security: Architecture, Challenges, and Ways to Strengthen It”, delivering a presentation that emphasised the strategic importance and progress of implementing 5G communication technology in Ukraine.

The report “Issues of Development and Implementation of 5G Communication Technologies in Ukraine” outlined the current state and prospects for the development of fifth-generation mobile communications. It was noted that Ukraine has already made significant progress, in particular:
- Pilot tests have been conducted.
- The regulatory framework has been updated in line with EU standards.
- The Electronic Communications Strategy until 2030 has been approved.
- The stages of the implementation roadmap have been defined.

The introduction of 5G will enable Ukraine to integrate into the global digital technology market, enhance cyber resilience, and establish the groundwork for smart cities, autonomous transportation, telemedicine, remote learning, and the Industrial Internet of Things.

Implementing the Strategy will directly benefit the economy and the security of citizens. It will significantly strengthen the cybersecurity of state systems and critical infrastructure, which is a priority in today's challenging context.
