ICTIP integrates European approaches to communication systems
Representatives from the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) attended the international event “Preparing for the European Critical Communication System (EUCCS),” held in March 2026 in Aschaffenburg, Germany. The initiative was implemented within the EUCCS Preparation program aimed at developing a European digital communication system for emergency services and law enforcement.
During the event, a pilot test of the system prototype was conducted, during which an emergency scenario involving international services was simulated. This format allowed for an assessment of the prototype’s performance under conditions as close to real-world scenarios as possible, as well as an evaluation of the system’s ability to facilitate coordination among them.
Particular attention was paid to the practical aspects of using the communication system, including the operation of command posts and coordination between units. The use of Beyond 5G technologies as alternative communication channels for emergency response services was also examined.
Participation in the trial provided practical insights into organizing international cooperation and implementing modern communication standards. These insights will contribute to the further development of reliable critical communication systems in Ukraine.
