On September 30th, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU) held an information meeting for the scientific staff of State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection.

The event was opened by Olha Polotska, Executive Director of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, with a welcoming speech and an overview of the NRFU's activities. Participants were also greeted by Yehor Pyvovarov, Expert on Policy Issues in Science and Innovation at the European Union Delegation in Ukraine, who emphasized the high level of work performed by the NRFU's Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine. The speakers emphasized the potential of national and European support instruments for implementing ideas and research by scientists in fields crucial to the country.

Head of ICTIP Volodymyr Pavlikov emphasized in his speech the importance of this event for the institution's strategic development, strengthening research in the cybersecurity field, and integrating Ukrainian scientists into the international scientific and research arena.

During the event, which took place in a mixed (online/offline) format, the following key aspects necessary for preparing successful grant applications were presented:

• organizational support for NRFU calls;
• financial and economic part of the grant application for NRFU calls;
• an overview of the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation “Horizon Europe”;
• a review of calls in the 2025 work program, in particular, Cluster 3 “Civil Security for Society” and Cluster 4 “Digital, Industry and Space”.

ICTIP scientists actively joined the discussion, receiving comprehensive professional explanations regarding the conditions for participation in the NRFU grant programs and the EU Horizon Europe program.
