A specialist from the State Scientific and Research Institute of Cybersecurity Technologies and Information Protection (ICTIP) completed technical training organised by Videray Technologies in Boston. This American manufacturer develops innovative equipment for non-destructive visual inspection. This equipment is designed for the rapid screening of vehicles and cargo to detect hidden compartments and contraband. It can also be used to inspect critical infrastructure and identify hidden threats during mass gatherings.

The training programme covered the operation, diagnostics, maintenance and technical support of non-destructive visual inspection systems. The programme included classroom sessions, hands-on demonstrations and interaction with the company’s engineering and technical specialists.

During the training, the specialist acquired practical skills in operating and maintaining portable and ultra-portable non-destructive visual inspection devices manufactured by Videray Technologies.

This enables the Institute to perform tasks related to detecting hardware-based hidden devices in equipment, interior furnishings, and building envelopes. This expands the Institute’s expertise in technical information security and in countering technical reconnaissance.
